What?
Organized by the Fédération Luxembourgeoise d'Athlétisme, the Dexia Route du Vin is a half marathon in the picturesque town of Remich.

Where?
The start is on Remich Esplanade, in south-eastern Luxembourg. After a flat run in the Moselle valley, the finish line in back in Remich, on the Dr. Fernand Kons square.

When?
The 2011 edition of the Route du Vin will be on September 25th in the afternoon. Time limit is 2 hours and 30 minutes.

Why?
Many reasons: running along the banks of the Moselle on the German border, where the valley is dominated by many small wine-making towns; a flat out and back course along the river offers a great opportunity for a personal best; no medal but a bottle of crémant (Caves Gales) is offered to every finisher: over 1K runners enjoyed last September the sparkling wine after the half marathon in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. Try as well the riesling and pinot gris or join one of the too many wine-tasting village festivals in Autumn. Bordered by Belgium, France and Germany and a meeting point for the various European culture, the small country offer a great opportunity for a short break at the centre of Europe.
