What?
Forget PB times and crowded streets, Snowdonia marathon is a hard but amazing race in Wales.

Where?
The demanding and spectacular route starts in Nant Peris and encircles Snowdon, Wales' and England's highest peak. The race finishes in Llanberis and the race time limit is 10 hours.

When?
The 2011 Snowdonia Marathon race will take place on the 29th of October.

Why?
Organized by the non-profit Marathon Eryri Cyf as a dramatic alternative to the major city races, Snowdonia offers some pretty punishing inclines, including climbs to the top of the Llanberis Pass and Bwlch y Groes, and a very scenic route. Enjoy the Snowdonia Mountain railway up and down Snowdon, visit the Caernarfon castle or practice a few sentences of the Welsh language: the Snowdonia Marathon is an excuse to visit next Autumn one of the best area of Wales.
