What?
A 10K, a half marathon and a marathon are the challenging sporting events of Turku, the second city and old capital of Finland.
Where?
From the city centre of Turku to the natural beauty of Ruissalo Island, and back on the most beautiful routes in Finland. The marathon race is a two-looped course.
When?
The first Saturday of July is the most common date for this event.
Why?
Athletics is very popular in Finland and you will be running together with over 3500 runners in the footsteps of legendary Paavo Nurmi, the “Flying Finn” athlete from Turku who won 9 Olympic golds in running. A trip to Torku is not just about running and the legendary distance runner: visit the massive Turku Cathedral, spend a day at the delightful Moominworld in Naantali or cycle the Archipelago Trail crossing green Nagu and remote Korpo.
