What?
The Semi de Cannes is an half marathon taking place in one of the best-known cities of the French Riviera.
Where?
In the centre of Cannes, the start and finish are on Boulevard de la Pantiéro, a few metres from Palais des Festivals that hosts the Cannes Film Festival. A 10K is available too.
When?
February. As for all the official races in France, you have to present a medical certificate (or a FFA licence) to pick up your race number.
Why?
A really flat race on the entire Promenade de la Croisette, along the best beaches in Cannes, a unique chance to be the star at Palais des Festivals. Enjoy some fresh and healthy local food, try the Marché Forville (the local covered market). Luxury hotels and international designer shops are all around la Croisette and rue d'Antibes. If you prefer a shor race before Christmas, the Athlétic Club de Cannes organizes as well the Cross des Iles (www.crossdesiles.org) a run around Ile Sainte-Marguerite, a natural reserve and a paradise for trail running.
