Where?
In Phuket's Laguna, the most exclusive island's resort complex: the start and finish are in Laguna Grove. The Marathon and the Half Marathon follow the way out of Laguna and then head north through local villages, pineapple and rubber plantations. The course is very scenic and runners can appreciate the lush vegetation Phuket has to offer.
When?
The 2011 edition of the Laguna Phuket International Marathon will be on Sunday, June 12.
Why?
The marathon gives runners the fantastic experience to explore the tropical paradise and after the run to ease with fantastic white sand shores. You will forget about the tiredness from the 42.195 kilometers and will experience the warm welcome and cheerful smiles of Thai people throughout the entire competition. After the marathon you can get a free massage from the sponsor stands all around the finish line. Laguna is a great option for a luxury holiday if you want to be spoiled after your tiring trainings and workouts.
