What?
The Fjord Norway Half Marathon in Bergen is one of Norway's largest runs. Along with the half marathon, there are several other races over two days, including a 10km, a 5km, a 9km cross country 'extrem' and family fun run.

Where?
The half marathon taks place in Nordhordland, a chain of islands not far away from Bergen. With a fantastic scenery and crossing several bridges, you will enjoy the amazing Salhusfjorden.

When?
The 2011 edition of the half marathon is planned on Saturday, September 3rd. Over 7000 runners started the race in 2010.

Why?
A spectacular half marathon with great views of Fjord Norway, a quite flat race and an opportunity to spend a few days in Bergen and the surrounding areas. Relax in one of the many parks, drink a coffee, visit Nordhordland (www.visitnordhordland.com) and get ready for a sightseeing tour on the run. Different races start at different time and offer unique challenges and views, so many runners actually take part to more than one event: if you complete both the half marathon and the 10K you will be named "Fjord Queen" (or "Fjord King"). The organizers offer a basic and very cheap school accomodation near the starting line.
