When?
The Brighton Half Marathon is usually held on a Sunday in mid February. The 2012 edition will be on February 19th.
Why?
A weekend at the seaside, a great opportunity to improve your PB and run with hundreds of gulls are the plus of the half marathon in Brighton. Two months before the Virgin London marathon and Marathon de Paris, Brighton is a popular training run as well. The Royal Pavilion and the piers are a great chance for a lovely weekend in Brighton. For a longer distance, the Brighton Marathon, the almost new (1st edition in 2010) event in April, is the best alternative to London.
