More than 1,000 participants are gearing up for the upcoming Anglesea Trail Running Race set to light up the Surf Coast. The event, scheduled for July 6, offers four challenging course options, including a 28km marathon, a 15km run, an 8km dash, and a 4km friendly race. Runners will kick off from Anglesea Main Beach, traversing coastal bushland, clifftop trails, and sandy beaches along the iconic Great Ocean Road.
Local runners, like Irene Brackin from Bells Beach, have eagerly signed up for the event. Brackin, who recently clinched victory in the Surf Coast Trail Marathon’s half marathon category, shared her journey into trail running.
