The Milano Running Festival, presented by Sky Wifi, entered its second day with a buzz of excitement as the event geared up for the upcoming Milano Marathon. Organized by RCS Sports & Events – RCS Active Team, the festival is a four-day celebration of sports culminating in the marathon on April 6.
One of the key highlights of the day was the unveiling of the 42.195 km marathon route and the introduction of elite athletes set to compete. The men’s field boasted top contenders like Raymond Choge, Abraham Kiptoo, and Bethwel Yegon from Kenya, along with Ethiopian Fikre Tefera. Eritrean Aaron Kifle, a rising star, was also set to make his marathon debut. The women’s race promised strong competition, with Ethiopian runners Haftamesh Tesfay and Shure Demise expected to shine.

Organizations like HUMANA contributed to environmental causes through initiatives like clothing collections. The commitment to sustainability extended to the race itself, with efforts to reduce the event’s carbon footprint and promote responsible practices.
The festival also catered to pet lovers with the Arcaplanet Dog Run, a unique 2 km walk-run for dogs and their owners. This pet-friendly event aimed to promote physical activity while fostering a bond between pets and their human companions.
