The 11th edition of the Waterford Viking Marathon concluded in the city under sunny skies. Tudor Moldovan defended his title in the full marathon, finishing in 2.30.55 at Grattan Quay. Following closely behind were Sean Hehir from Clare in 2.33.33 and Simon Nolan from West Cork in 2.41.30. Linda Grogan of Dundrum Athletics Club emerged as the top female finisher with a time of 3.04.27.

In the half marathon, Sergiu Ciobanu of Clonliuffe secured first place with a time of 1.08.42. Sally Forristal of St Joseph’s AC in Kilkenny claimed the top spot among female participants, crossing the finish line in 1.22.46.

Craig O’Brien from Ferrybank triumphed in the quarter marathon, clocking in at 35 minutes and 3 seconds. Kate Veale of West Waterford excelled as the first female finisher, completing the race in 40 minutes and 49 seconds.
