Davangere District Police Hosts Exciting Marathon Event for Public

The Davangere District Police is set to host an exhilarating marathon event for the public, featuring a 10K Marathon and a 5K Run with Police Marathon-2025 this upcoming Sunday. Inspector-General of Police (Eastern Range) B.R. Ravikanthe Gowda, along with Superintendent of Police Uma Prashanth, unveiled the event posters during a press conference in Davangere.

Participants including students, athletes, and individuals above 18 years old are encouraged to join the Run with Police event. Registration is required before 2 p.m. on Saturday through the provided link. The marathons will kick off from the district stadium in Davangere at 7 a.m. Cash prizes await the winners, with the top three in the 10K Marathon and 5K Marathon receiving monetary rewards.

Notably, a special women’s category has been incorporated into the 5K Marathon, emphasizing inclusivity and empowerment. To ensure safety, participants must be at least 18 years old and individuals with health issues are advised not to partake in the marathon. Superintendent of Police Uma Prashanth highlighted the event’s aim to engage the public in policing activities and foster a sense of pride in the law enforcement system.

During the marathon, various slogans promoting community welfare and safety measures such as “Our Police Our Pride”, “Drugs Free Davangere”, and “Women Safety” will be showcased. The route for the marathons includes key locations in Davangere, offering participants a scenic and challenging course to navigate.

The event serves as a platform for the community to actively engage with law enforcement initiatives and advocate for a safer and more vigilant society. By promoting fitness, community involvement, and safety awareness, the marathon event organized by the Davangere District Police is not only a sporting occasion but also a demonstration of collaborative efforts towards a secure and healthy community.
